Can you believe it! The continuing feasts and holiday celebrations will soon be over, and the year 2020 will be here. I generally become more introspective or self-analyzing during this time with more questions than answers. For instance, how does this relate to time overall? Well, 2020 is the 20th year of the third millennium (a millennium equals 1,000 years), the 20th year of the 21st Century (a century means 100 years), and the first year of the decade of the 2020s.
It’s also a leap year — something that happens every four years when the calendar has 366 days instead of 365 with February 29 as the extra calendar day. Historians credit the Roman dictator Julius Caesar’s ruling which changed the calendar year to match the solar year or the length of time it takes the earth to complete its orbit around the sun for this added time.
Like most things, there are endless meanings and symbols associated with the number 2020. Many, like me, believe in the divine science of numbers. In researching the angel number 2020, I learned that it symbolizes potential, and trust. It also tells us that it’s time for a mindset of faith and hope. Attention is likewise given to guardian angels who speak to our hearts with messages designed to guide and protect us.
The year’s end is also a time of self-examination and assessment of progress toward my personal goal of achieving higher living in thought, deeds, and knowledge of spiritual principles that require discipline, practice, and patience but are rewarded with virtue.
Finally, I’m meditating to be relieved of the faults/vices of my body or self-indulgence, and become increasingly disciplined with my tongue/speech. How about you? Have you identified the barriers that interfere with you being the person you hope to become?
