LJC's Publisher's Note
Children Learn What They LiveDuring this season of celebrating mothers and fathers, I count my blessings for the mutual respect and enduring love I shared with my mother, Mattie Echols Tucker. In so many ways, she was one of the best. I’ve observed and read enough to know that children whose lives are void of kindness, patience, and support are emotionally insecure, have low-self esteem, a compromised sense of confidence, and do not expect to be treated with respect. So, remember, the goal is to develop loving bonds with our children that will last till death.
